Why do people worship Michael Jordan?

I'll give him one thing, he's one of the top 5 NBA players of all time, but their are several people who could be considered better than MJ, Magic, Wilt, West, Bird, and Russel just to name. theres a kid nCleveland who goes by the name of King James who has a very good chance to be better than MJ when his career is over. Kobe Bryant is a better scorerthan MJ, but not a better player, so that's why I didn't mention him.
