UK Visa application process?

What is the process for getting a visa to the UK? I have checked several websites but am still confused. I am a US born citizen but my husband was born outside the country, in Bangladesh. What is the process for both of us? I don't want to be directed to a website unless it has step by step detailed process on how to obtain it. Thanks!
