I have a long mysterious cough that will not go away, can someone help?

I have had this for years now, along with my family. I never feel very sick, or bad. But this cough is small and will not go away! It comes along with the gags and vomiting. At first I thought it was a cold, then bronchitis, but it never goes away! 5 years now! Does anyone else have this?
